First one mission is good, i have all controls but 2nd or 3rd mission i have lost retarder function and sometimes engine brake. When i change hotkeys for retarder it still doesn't work. Then when I switched to ETS2, I tried the in-cab view, and my handling improved massively, plus like Ryu, it gives a more immersive feeling. So I've never driven a "real" European truck, but I cant imagine that they would be so different from American trucks that their retarder control would be located where the trailer brake is located. Every truck I have ever driven has a trailer brake (which is still part of the air brake system) located on the steering column to the right (in the exact location that the retarder control is Uncheck the option to use the retarder automatically, and make sure you decrease it till you turn it off. Motor Brake: Stopping in traffic or for extreme braking cases on highways etc. Retarder: Coming to a new speed limit, exiting highway, slowing over a long distance (going to a fuel station, parking, etc.) Parking Brake: Stay still at traffic lights, parked, only for when I won't need to move for a bit. REAL Brakes ('S' or 'Down arrow key The exhaust brake is generally activated during braking or manually by a separate control (generally a button on the floor).
