hello all, what is those 2 options ? i have a wheel since few days and id like to know what is is? thanks i translate from french the name of the options so i hope youll undesrtand :)
You want shift up/shift down set instead. Then on my sequential shifter, I press forward to shift in auto, back to shift back into neutral, and back again to shift into reverse. Thanks, I'll try that. It's like that for me but I like it, I use the 3rd gear for forward, 4th gear on my shifter is reverse.
In reality no one manually shifts all the way through an automated transmission like you're doing. In the game you are really expected to, either. There's not really any solution I'm aware of for what your dealing with. I'd suggest using one of the automatic modes and live with the occasional funky shift strategy.
Euro Truck Simulator 2 > General Discussions > Topic Details. HEART Mar 13, 2017 @ 1:27pm. Acceleration. I bought a truck and had limited funds so settled on a cheap Mercedes model with 460 hp. I was towing a heavy load and noticed extremely slow acceleration. So much so, that I was worried about the hills common in Italy and dreaded toll booths.

Technically, yes. All of the trucks in both ETS2 and ATS are modeled with automatic transmissions. However, SCS gives the option to play the game with a manual transmission or a sequential transmission to give players more options. But, if you want to stay true to how the trucks in the game were modeled, real automatic is the most realistic choice.
am i the only one who thinks the automatic transmission doesnt feel right? when going straight at 80 km/h the transmission will never shift to 12th gear on its own. it will stay at 11th gear at ~1450 rpm. to get to 12th gear i have to bring it to 1500 rpm or use shift up hint. why does the transmission not shift to 12th gear on its own to drive 80 km/h at ~1100 rpm to save lots of fuel?
If you use adaptive transmission don't floor it when starting from a standing still. You need to go easy with the accellerator. Adaptive means: the more you press the accellerator, the lower the gear / higher rpm you will reach before shifting. So, don't press the accellerator all the way down. Ah, another thing: 12+2 gearbox is useless.
sup guys im using a logitech g29, when im driving my truck keeps taking it back into neutral and it's a ♥♥♥♥ to keep changing back into drive, im not using a shifter too thanks for any advice!!!!!!!!!!!
